this is a proprietary smarttv platform, not androidtv. it means you may not find the app for this tv unless it is very popular. what makes me infuriating is its dlna function. 1. when you add a new file in your nas, samsung tv will detect it. however, when you delete the file, samsung will not reflect the change. in other word, samsung assumes you may add things to your video library, but never delete them! 2. the idea of play video files locally is that i can have something to watch if the internet is down. unfortunately, its dlna client is 100% internet dependent. it means even if you are trying to play a local mp4 file from your nas to samsung tv on the same local network, it will not work. technical support is no help. no more samsung for me, period.

i purchased this tv 3 years ago and the other day i noticed a line running across my screen. i called support and they told me to do a few different things and nothing worked. they said i need a technician to come out and look at it. the tech called yesterday to say it will most likely be a panel replacement and that is $1,100. this tv is 3 years old and should not have to have the panel replaced. very disappointed by samsung. i expected better quality.

we love the tv and all the apps work great except the at&t tv app. we have gone through many, many troubleshooting procedures with at&t and samsung, but the issue still makes the app unusable. it freezes winds, get error messages and black screens, repeatedly daily. so in order to use the at&t tv app i will need to add an att box, roku, firestick or etc. which makes all the smart features of the tv useless and i will need wire to the devices and 2 remotes.

i just find it pathetic that in 2020/2021 we can't get a quality tv, especially at $1200+. 4k samples on youtube maybe the only time this tv has quality picture. the hdr setting is trash. the darkness & green flesh tone are inexcusable. there is a pixelated/foggy overtone at all times during movies/tv. a motion blur & judder are always constant. i have tried all adjustments on all picture setting, which i feel is unnecessary. i have been a samsung customer for 15 yrs. i could go on with my frustrations with this piece of garbage, but i feel a company as large as samsung could care less, especially after reading many other reviews containing many of my sams complaints.

horrable product, set up is an absolute joke. manual is non existant, one page, supposed smart remote control is non usable. picture quality is terrible. would give it zero stars but the review wont accept it. you have to be a rocket scientist to make this tv operate. how disapointing. wasted lots of money.
