We have only had this for a month and so far we are pleased with it. It doesn't open and close as smooth as my old one but it works just great!

Have had this compactor for less then 2 years and have had to have the start button fixed twice. Service call and parts have cost me almost $500. My last trash compactor lasted almost 20 years with no problems.

It is not as stable as previous one. The stainless never stays clear...not sure it is stainless.
